I have always loved the natural look of slate, so when the question arose in my head of what a painting would look like on it I had to answer it. The answer? BEAUTIFUL. I had never come across paintings on slate before and absolutely loved, and still do, the effect paint has on it. The natural texture and deep grey colour accentuate the subject being painted and gives a minimalistic but captivating piece of work.
